Scheme details
Individual Grant Applications
Not everyone is fortunate enough to have access to musical instruments and lessons. Their Grant Application process allows them to help people fulfil their musical dreams. Young, old, regardless of personal or life challenges, they truly want music to be for all.

Community Project Funding Applications
Many projects and initiatives take place throughout the UK that all aim to bring music to their community. Most would benefit from a “helping hand” to fulfil their potential in becoming truly sustainable music programmes. Please be aware their typical Community Grant is in the region of £2500.

Tips for Community Grant Applicants:
Their maximum community grant is 2,500, but due to increased demands for funds it is unlikely they will be able to meet your application in full.

Typically, community grants are given for the purchase of instruments, associated equipment or for teaching costs. However, all applications are judged on their merit by the trustees – so if there’s another element of the project that you’d like them to fund, please tell them about the great work that you do and they will consider the application.

To give you some guidance, the main things that the trustees look for are:

How many new musicians will the project create and support?

How sustainable the project is, so as they can be sure that people are able to continue their musical journeys

Whether there are any other organisations supporting the project that can help with funding, or if you’ve applied to any other charities. (They are a small charity, and like to help as many applicants as they can, so they often work with other organisations to enable them to give the project the full support that it needs)
