Bowel cancer
June 4, 2026Bowel cancer is one of the most common cancers for both men and women. It is very important to be aware of possible symptoms or signs that may be linked to bowel cancer such as:
• changes in your bowel habit from your usual routine;
• blood in your bowel motion/poo;
• pain or lump in the tummy/abdomen, or in some cases bloating;
• feeling more tired than usual;
• losing weight, or noticing your clothes getting looser, with no clear reason for this.
There can be many causes for these symptoms but if you experience any of these for three weeks or longer, it’s always best to get them checked out by your GP. And if eligible attend for screening.
