Tue 19th March 7-8pm – Sleep Talk Sleep Talk for Parents – calm bedtime routine via zoom

This workshop is a comprehensive guide for parents seeking to establish calm bedtime routines and promote restful sleep for their children.

 

Wed 20th March 10am – 3pm (Drop In) – Making Connections – Burnavon, Cookstown

Mid Ulster District Council, CWSAN and Radius Housing are delivering a ‘one stop shop’ event providing information on a range of organisations to help over 50’s get, and stay, connected within their community to mark Age Without Limits Action Day 2024. There’ll be over 20 support agencies to help you reach out and connect, reduce social isolation and loneliness, and to support older people to have active healthy lifestyles and remain as independent as possible for as long as possible.

No need to book – just drop in any time between 10am and 3pm.

The theme of this year’s action day is ‘See and be seen’ to help challenge the negative way ageing is represented in society.

Wed 20th March 7 – 8pm – Sleep and Weight Management and link to Diabetes via zoom

Discover how sleep impacts your body composition. Learn to optimise sleep patterns that may significantly impact weight management. Uncover how sleep influences metabolism, appetite regulation, and hormone production. Insufficient or poor-quality sleep may increase the risk of developing type 2 diabetes. Chronic sleep deprivation and sleep disorders have been linked to insulin resistance, impaired glucose metabolism, and an elevated risk of developing diabetes.

Prioritising adequate and quality sleep is, therefore, considered an important lifestyle factor for reducing the risk of type 2 diabetes.

Tue 26th March 7 – 9pm – Social Media Bootcamp for your community group webinar via zoom

From crafting compelling content to learning about effective engagement, this workshop will help promote your messages with success. Exploring Canva, Meta Business Suite and planning your content calendar for 2024

 

Wed 27th March 7 – 8pm – Sleep and Pain Management – via zoom

This workshop is a comprehensive guide to promote restful sleep to help with managing pain.  Learn about the connection between sleep and pain relief, practical strategies to enhance sleep quality, and learn how restful nights sleep can significantly alleviate chronic discomfort.
