Join a fun and friendly IN PERSON curated workshop just in time for Valentine’s Day
with Curator, Ciaran Elizabeth Doran.
All materials are supplied but please just bring a pair of scissors suitable for cutting
fabric and paper. Working with a lovely creative pack provided, you will be shown how
to create a series of items suitable to give as a gift to a loved one for Valentine’s Day,
or to keep for yourself.
Using contemporary fabrics with some simple hand sewing and of course hearts
included, you will learn how to create some softly padded hearts. Turn one into a brooch
perhaps, even some heart shapes to create mini pin -cushion for future projects.
Wooden templates are provided that can be used to create a beautiful card and envelope
or even a key ring. No previous experience is required but you are welcome to bring
your own trimmings or even some images that you might like to use.
Included in the session will be an informal discussion with your Curator for the day as
we work, sharing the stories behind Valentine’s Day and how the significance is still
relevant today.
